Connemara Original is a rare gem in the world of Irish whiskey, offering a distinct peated profile that's more commonly associated with Scotch. This double-distilled single malt is inspired by traditional Irish methods, yet sets itself apart with rich peat smoke intertwined with the smoothness and sweetness that define Irish whiskey.
Crafted in small batches, Connemara combines lightly peated malted barley with natural spring water, creating a harmonious balance of smoke, sweet grains, and oak. Aged in oak casks, it showcases a fusion of earthy character and refined elegance, a testament to Ireland’s ancient distilling roots with a bold twist.
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Sweet barley, gentle smoke, hints of kippers, and baked apple crumble.
Palate: Light honey sweetness with delicate peat smoke, vegetal notes, barley water, subtle spice, and a touch of vanilla oak.
Finish: Soft and lingering with light smoke, spice, and a clean, malty finish.
